CARIS Paper Chart Composer

Improve efficiency in creating paper chart products using the latest paper chart creation tool. By utilizing Paper Chart Composer, desktop users now have access to the same robust object creation and editing tools that exist in HPD. Paper charts can be created automatically from S-57 ENCs, captured from third party GIS data and imported from existing CARIS maps using feature mapping rules. Utilize the standard cartographic presentation in Paper Chart Composer based on the IHO INT1 and INT2 specifications or customize your own presentations for organization-specific products.

CARIS S-57 Composer

S-57 Composer is a next-generation desktop application for electronic production of S-57 Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC), Additional Military Layers (AML), Inland ENC (IENC) and Digital Nautical Charts (DNC). By utilizing S-57 Composer, desktop users now have access to the same robust object creation and editing tools that exist in HPD. The successor to the long-trusted CARIS HOM ENC and HOM AML products, S-57 Composer delivers a highly intuitive workflow for creation of any official or customized product.

The application includes support for creating ENC 3.1 (3.1.1 & 3.1.2), AML (1.0, 2.1 & 3.0), IENC (2.1, 2.2 & 2.3) and U.S. IENC 4.0. Generation of Marine Information Overlays (MIO) and specialty products such as Bathymetric ENCs, Digital Survey Sheets and Pilot Charts are also possible. DNC production is available with an optional licence extension. S-57 Composer is the best-engineered, most modern application on the market for desktop electronic chart production. Moreover, users can depend upon the evolution of this application as the IHO moves towards the release of the S-100 standard

CARIS ChartServer

CARIS ChartServer is a server-based system enabling your web-browsing clients to view a catalogue of your charts and related products. The web is a logical medium for the supply of product information. However, the specialized nature of hydrographic products means that a web-solution for information distribution is beyond the scope of ordinary e-commerce systems. ChartServer meets the demands of chart producers and distributors, such as Hydrographic Offices and Chart Agents, for a mechanism to optimize the web for browsing, ordering and downloading hydrographic products.

CARIS HPD

Implement a seamless database solution and eliminate data redundancy with CARIS Hydrographic Production Database (HPD). Using Oracle® data processing, HPD offers an integrated suite of products that can manage all data in a seamless database, providing for simultaneous data processing and workflow by multiple users.Efficiency is maximized for data storage with features being stored only once, with the ability to create multiple representations for different products. One Feature One Time.

The HPD suite of products provides efficiency in maintaining source data and the production of multiple marine products from a single database. A new 64-bit version of HPD is available along with the standard 32-bit version. The 64-bit version results in better processing capabilities - especially for large datasets and raster charts.

Implement the HPD suite of products for production of S-57 ENCs and IENCs, S-57 AMLs, Paper Charts to IHO standards, or the creation and maintenance of non-chart Nautical Publications and Generic Products based on user-defined sets of features.The HPD Product Editor derives its products from the source data in the same database. Updates to source are carried automatically to multiple products. Product-specific features and customizations can be made without affecting the source features.

Powered by the CSAR engine and backed by proven RDMS technology, Bathy DataBASE delivers a robust and scalable solution for the storage and analysis of ever-expanding volumes of sonar and LiDAR data.Bathy DataBASE is able to incorporate all sources of data from historical fieldsheets to the latest high density multibeam surveys in a single space.

Manipulate, analyze and compile data using intuitive CARIS tools, and create bathymetric and cartographic products with confidence. Extend the Bathy DataBASE advantage by adding the new Engineering Analysis Module to import, create theoretical models of the seafloor for dredging and other engineering options.

CARIS HIPS and SIPS

The HIPS and SIPS product is a comprehensive bathymetric, seafloor imagery and water column data processing software. HIPS & SIPS enables you to process simultaneously multibeam, backscatter, side scan sonar, LiDAR and single beam. Supporting over 40 industry standard sonar data formats, HIPS and SIPS can easily integrate into any workflow. Proven automated data cleaning filters and algorithms assist in today's high data volume environments. The latest technologies on 3D visualization are incorporated in the software, making processing, and analysis for the hydrographic, oceanographic or any other marine environment very efficient.

HIPS and SIPS now offers 64-bit support, providing users with the ability to handle large multibeam sonar datasets even faster. This additional processing efficiency allows organizations to make significant time savings, which is crucial in the marine surveying industry.

CARIS Notebook

Notebook is creating efficiencies in hydrographic surveys that have never before been possible. A digital alternative to the paper field book, Notebook enables collection of geo-referenced field notes and S-57 standards-based hydrographic objects either by hand or with the use of a GPS receiver. It fills a workflow gap between post-processing of hydrographic survey data and output to hydrographic products such as S-57 ENCs.

Its tools can be used for quality assurance and in-field validation. New hydrographic object data can easily be compared to chart or ENC results from previous surveys. If data conflicts or inaccuracies are found, surveyors can investigate while still in the field and collect more data as required. Making any necessary modifications at that time avoids a costly return to the survey site.

This Freeware version of the CARIS LOTS Browser comes bundled with a real-world sample dataset (Canadian east coast) for all your Law of the Sea applications. It will allow you to see some of the functionality that is contained within the commercial versions of the CARIS LOTS software.
